Biography

Emma Gartside is a researcher and info entrepreneur specialising in career transitions support.

She founded her career transitions research business, Career Workshop, in 2004 to meet the information needs of executive job seekers, smaller outplacement companies, career coaches and HR teams. Career Workshop has now successfully supported hundreds of executives in their career management projects.

Before setting up Career Workshop, Emma was Research Manager at a respected outplacement and HR consultancy for eight years and has also worked extensively in economic development and business support.

In addition to running Career Workshop, Emma also undertakes project work in more traditional areas of information management and content provision. She also writes, edits and trains for a number of organisations in the private, education and public sectors.
